China's ice cream market is developing at its fastest pace, at a rate of 20% to 30% every year.Ice cream production has gone up to 16 times in lately 10 years, and industry revenues will keep the growth rate above 20 percent for the next five years.

During 2014 to 2016, data got in this three years shows that the peak period of ice cream online search is from Mar. to Sep. every year. In 2014, the peak of search volume appeared in May, and it was 16.99 million. Starting in 2015, the annual peak of searches came in August, which is the summer time in China, with an average daily search volume of 20 million. However the ice cream searching volume in winter are gradually increasing yearly, and it has become a fashion to eat ice cream in winter.

In terms of consumption, China's northeast, beijing-tianjin, Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta regions are the most concentrated market areas for ice cream consumption. The northeast and Beijing-Tianjin-Shanghai market accounts for 13 percent and 25 percent of the country respectively. It is interesting that the cold beverage consumption in the northeast region is characterized by the high indoor temperature in winter, which presents the pattern of "double peak season" in summer and winter.
